Habitat

General Information on the Geographic, Neighborhood, Habitat version of the site. Habitat projects are based around neighborhood or a collection of neighborhoods to share information that is relevant to them and those that live, work and play within them.

Effort Required
It is not easy being an administrator of a Habitat site. It requires allot of time as well as a keenness to learn, especially around your ideas on what may make up your local community. If you have no technical experience you may wish to team up with someone who has. Ideally a site should have a team of four if you are going to maximise results.

Habitat sites in particular require allot of interaction and attention to user support. While we have provided as many instructional and support ideas, many users will still want to be shown, especially those that are older in the community. You need to be prepared for that.

By the very nature of the project e-learning will become a big part of it, try to partner up with someone that can provide support in this area. We are sure they will welcome the opporunity.

Suggested Revenue Models
Of course everyone is free to set their own revenue systems in place. However these are community sites designed to build and strengthen bonds within a community hence we want to hear how you would implement that as a condition of provision.
